While choosing to buy one of these products, you really do have to decide in what you want the device for. There are people who choose the netbook over the iPad. And there are those who are very happy with their purchase of an iPad. There are numerous differences between these two products. For one, the Netbook is similar to a laptop computer. 
Although, it is smaller than an actual laptop, it does serve many of the function a laptop can handle. Such as typing your research paper for your American history class. Now, if you wanted to do this on an iPad, it would essentially take more time as it is not like a laptop. You’d have to use an onboard keyboard displayed and touch screen the iPad to type each word, or letters.
The benefits of having a netbook include, being able to type correspondents, surfing the internet, emailing your friends, installing various programs that are necessary for your current job. The only downside in owning the netbook, is that the netbook doesn’t have a CD/DVD disc drive. So you can’t play any DVD movies or listen to your favorite Justin Bieber CD.
